Creamy Mushroom Soup (10 servings)
Ingredients For Mushroom Soup
- ½ pound mushrooms, sliced thinly
- ¼ pound butter
- 1 quart of chicken broth
- 1 quart beef broth
- 2 tablespoons crushed toasted sesame seeds (crush in blender)
- ½ teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon minced chives
Preparation Method For Mushroom Soup
1. Sauté mushrooms in half the butter for 5 minutes.
2. Mix broths add mushrooms. Melt remaining butter in saucepan. Add crushed sesame seeds. Gradually add some broth, stir steadily.
3. Return sesame mixture to remaining broth. Add salt. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Stir in heavy cream until well blended.
Serve with garnish of chives.
